Job description

Are you a passionate and inspiring Maths teacher looking to make a difference? We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Maths Teacher to join our forward-thinking school in Halifax. If you're dedicated to fostering a love for mathematics and helping students achieve their full potential, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5)
  • Encourage a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, problem-solving, and critical thinking
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support where needed
  • Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum and resources
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote the success of all students

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified teacher with a strong background in Mathematics
  • Passionate about teaching Maths and helping students succeed
  • Ability to teach a wide range of abilities, from foundation to higher-level students
  • Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
  • Enthusiastic, with a positive and solution-focused attitude
  • Experience or a keen interest in supporting extracurricular Maths activities would be a plus

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
