Maths Teacher – February 2025 Start | Durham

An exciting opportunity has become available at our client secondary school in Durham for a dedicated and passionate Maths teacher. Whether you're an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced professional, we invite you to apply!

Position: Maths Teacher
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS)
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: February 2025

Our client school is situated in Durham with easy access from surrounding areas via the A1/A1(M) or A68. For non-drivers, excellent public transport links make the school easily accessible from various parts of the North East.

The school is in Durham (DH1). The school prioritizes helping all students make progress, regardless of their background or ability, fostering an environment where academic and personal growth are equally valued.

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of the Maths curriculum, with the ability to teach a range of ability levels
  • Effective classroom management
  • Enhanced child-only DBS check required (must be registered with the Update Service, or be willing to apply – we can assist during registration)
  • Two professional references from recent employment

Role Overview:

  • Teach KS3 and KS4 Maths to students of varying abilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess lessons tailored to students' individual needs
  • Participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities
