Maths Teacher – Academy – Derby (DE1)

An outstanding Academy in Derby (DE1) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join their vibrant and committed teaching team starting in September. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary based on experience, with excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression within the school and Multi-Academy Trust.

The Role:

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching KS3 to KS5 Maths to a diverse group of students, ensuring each student receives high-quality instruction that helps them reach their full potential. Your duties will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire students and cater to various learning styles and needs.

  • Developing and enhancing the Maths curriculum to reflect the school’s high standards of academic achievement.

  • Assessing and tracking student progress, providing regular feedback and intervention to support learning.

  • Contributing to the department’s leadership by collaborating with colleagues to improve teaching practices and resources.

  • Engaging with students in extracurricular activities to promote the development of their skills and talents outside the classroom.

  • A qualified Maths Teacher (QTS) with experience teaching KS3 to KS5.

  • A strong communicator and team player who is willing to contribute to the development of the Maths department.

  • Able to support the school’s ethos and contribute to the wider school community.
