Maths Teacher – Permanent Role in Birmingham (B15)

A high-achieving secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a committed and passionate Maths Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to deliver high-quality mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, and confidence in numeracy.

The successful candidate will be joining a well-established and supportive maths department, where collaboration and innovation in teaching are encouraged. The school is dedicated to academic excellence and provides an environment where both staff and students thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Use real-world applications to help students understand mathematical concepts and their importance
  • Assess and track student progress, providing targeted support to ensure all pupils achieve their potential
  • Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, engagement, and academic progress
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative teaching resources and strategies
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as maths clubs, competitions, and enrichment sessions
  • Engage with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and attainment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4 (experience with A-Level Maths is desirable but not essential)
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for making Maths engaging and accessible
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and school improvement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
