Maths Teacher

Do you have experience supporting children with additional needs? Are you passionate about helping students develop their confidence in Maths outside of mainstream education?

At TP Tutors, we have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Maths Intervention Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to students in Beeston, Nottinghamshire. This role is ideal for those with experience working with SEN students in roles such as teacher, tutor, teaching assistant, or 1:1 support worker.

About the Role:

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths sessions, tailored to the student’s individual needs.
• Work face-to-face with SEN students, including those with ASD, SEMH, or PMLD. Tuition may take place in the student’s home, a care home, or a local setting such as a library (agreed with parents/carers).
• Track progress, identify next steps, and build numeracy confidence.
• Inspire and motivate students, making Maths accessible and engaging.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support student focus.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with SEN children.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging Maths sessions based on individual learning needs.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• A passion for helping students build their confidence and achieve their potential.
• Experience tracking progress and setting learning goals.

Requirements:

All applicants will be subject to background checks and must hold a current DBS certificate (registered on the update service). Teaching Personnel can assist with this if needed.
