Maths Teacher Needed for Secondary School in Basingstoke – February 2025 Start
Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in Basingstoke? Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated individual to join a dynamic secondary school starting in February 2025.
Position Details:
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Start Date: February 2025
Contract Type: Full-time
Duration: Longer-term, transitioning to temp to perm
About the Role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire students across the age and attainment range at both Key Stage 3 and 4. This role is ideal for experienced educators, ECTs qualifying this year, and unqualified teachers with a strong passion for mathematics education.
Responsibilities:
- Effective Teaching: Assist students to learn effectively, develop personally, and achieve their individual potential while following the school’s aims and policies.
- Curriculum Delivery: Provide and engage pupils in a broad, balanced, relevant, and ambitious Maths curriculum that is accessible to all students.
- Extra-Curricular Activities: Contribute to the school’s provision of extra-curricular activities, supporting wider student engagement.
- Student Development: Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher and form tutor.
- Raising Standards: Work collaboratively to raise student attainment and ensure value is added within the school context.
- Professional Growth: Engage in opportunities provided by the school for personal and academic development.
- Professional Duties: Carry out responsibilities as outlined in the Conditions of Service.
Requirements:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, for experienced teachers.
✅ ECTs qualifying this year and unqualified teachers are welcome to apply.
✅ Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics education.
✅ Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
✅ Safer Recruitment in Education check will be required.
