Secondary Maths Tutor – Alnwick, Northumberland
£25–£30 per hour | 2 hours per week | Flexible daytime sessions

Are you a compassionate and experienced educator looking to make a positive impact on a young person’s life? TP Tutors is seeking a dedicated Secondary Maths Tutor to support a pupil in Alnwick who is currently not accessing mainstream education.

This is a 1:1 tutoring role, delivering 2 hours of tuition per week during school hours – with flexibility to fit around your availability.

➗ Your Role:

• Provide high-quality, personalised Maths tuition to a secondary-age learner

• Assess the pupil’s current attainment and identify learning gaps

• Plan and deliver engaging sessions tailored to the pupil’s needs and interests

• Prepare and adapt resources to suit the individual learning style

• Build a positive, supportive relationship to help the pupil re-engage with learning

✔️ What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified teachers with strong subject knowledge in Maths

• Experience working with pupils outside mainstream settings is desirable

• A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach

• Strong planning and communication skills
