Secondary English Tutor – Blyth, Northumberland
£25–£30 per hour | Flexible hours | 4 hours per week

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? TP Tutors is looking for a dedicated and empathetic Secondary English Tutor to support a permanently excluded pupil in Blyth, Northumberland.

This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver 1:1 English tuition to a young learner for 4 hours per week – split over two 2-hour sessions during the school day, at times that work for you.

✏️ What You’ll Do:

• Deliver high-quality, tailored English tuition to a secondary-age pupil

• Conduct assessments to identify the pupil’s current working level

• Plan engaging, relevant lessons that match the pupil’s interests and needs

• Prepare and create bespoke learning materials

• Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil to support their engagement and progress

‍ Who We’re Looking For:

• Qualified teachers with a strong English background

• Experience working with pupils who have been excluded or face barriers to learning is a plus

• Someone patient, nurturing, and able to adapt their approach to meet individual needs

• Excellent communication and planning skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
