Maintenance Assistant – SEN School (Chorley) – Immediate Start

A specialist SEN school in Chorley is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, practical individual who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in keeping a school environment safe and well-maintained.

The Role:

  • Carrying out general site maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical work, and joinery

  • Completing repairs, painting, decorating, and ensuring the school grounds are well-kept

  • Liaising with contractors and supporting maintenance requests from staff

  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are met across the site

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a trade background

  • A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving

  • Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace

  • Own vehicle and a clean driving licence (mileage expenses reimbursed)

Contract Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Contract Type: Permanent

  • Location: Specialist SEN school in Chorley

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
