Job description

Teaching Personnel is working with a primary school in the Milnrow area (OL16) who are currently seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and skilled Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant team in the Summer Term. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed individual who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development in a rewarding educational environment.

The Role:

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere within the classroom. You’ll be working closely with class teachers to support the individual and collective learning needs of pupils, helping to ensure every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering targeted support in small groups and one-to-one interventions.

  • Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.

  • Supporting students with varying abilities, including those with additional needs.

  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

  • Contributing to the assessment and recording of pupil progress.

  • Encouraging active participation and fostering a love of learning.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

  • Previous experience working in a primary school or similar educational setting.

  • A solid understanding of the primary curriculum and child development.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

  • Flexibility, resilience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young learners' lives.
