Position: Full-time (Temporary with potential to become permanent)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children? Do you have experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant at our primary SEMH school in the Wirral.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a primary-aged child with SEMH needs.
  • Help students develop trust and feel safe within their school environment.
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher and other staff to provide tailored support.
  • Assist in managing and improving behaviour in a positive, compassionate manner.
  • Support the academic and social development of the child, ensuring they feel comfortable, understood, and valued.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: Previous experience working in an SEMH school or with vulnerable children displaying behavioural challenges.
  • Skills: Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to create a safe and nurturing space for students to thrive.
  • Personal Qualities: Patient, empathetic, and resilient. You are committed to providing a supportive and consistent approach to help children develop their emotional and behavioural regulation.
  • Commitment: This is a full-time temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
