Learning Support Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a primary school based in Stoke-on-Trent. The school are looking for a dedicated and passionate LSA to join their dynamic and supportive community. The school is in a great location with excellent transport links between Macclesfield, Congleton and Crewe.
The role:
In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support to children who require additional academic and behavioural support. You will support the class teacher in ensuring the needs of every child are met and all learning is adapted to suit all needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning and making a real difference in their educational/developmental journey.
What we are looking for:
Essential: Experience working with children with additional learning needs
Desirable: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- A passion for helping children to achieve their potential and succeed
- Patience and adaptability
- Good knowledge of different learning styles and strategies to support children’s individual needs
- Safeguarding training (must be done through Teaching Personnel)

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
