Behaviour Support Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a primary school located in Stoke-on-Trent. They are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic full-time Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will work closely with other members of staff to support children with varying behavioural needs, promoting a positive work environment.

Key responsibilities:
- Working 1-1 with students to support their behavioural and emotional needs
- Working closely with the class teacher and other members of staff to implement and monitor behaviour strategies
- Liaise with parents and carers to provide updates on the students social, emotional and academic development
- Work with other members of staff to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all students
What we are looking for:
- Experience working with SEN is necessary for this role
- Confident communication between other members of staff to promote a positive working environment
- Patient and empathetic with the ability to remain calm in high pressure environments
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Behaviour Management Training/TA) are desirable but not essential
- Safeguarding training (this must be done through Teaching Personnel)
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
