Job description

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? A small, nurturing secondary SEND school in Portsmouth are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team.

About the Role:

  • Provide tailored support to Secondary aged students, helping them reach their full potential.
  • Work closely with teachers and other LSAs in a supportive environment.
  • Benefit from in-house training opportunities to develop your skills.
  • Develop positive relationships with students and fellow teaching and support staff
  • Assist with carrying out and implementing lesson plans.
  • Experience in an education or care setting.
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting students.
  • Ability to commit to full-time hours (37 hours per week).
  • Own transport due to the school's rural location.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
