Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive and vibrant team. We are a warm and inclusive primary school in Macclesfield, committed to providing an exceptional educational experience for our pupils.

The Role:
As an LSA, you will work closely with class teachers and other staff to support the learning and development of individual students and small groups. You will assist in the classroom, help with planning and delivering activities, and offer tailored support to children with additional learning needs. This role is key in ensuring that all children, regardless of ability, receive the help they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting individual pupils and small groups with their learning.
• Assisting with classroom management and ensuring a positive learning environment.
• Providing support for children with special educational needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their personal goals.
• Helping children develop social and emotional skills.
• Working closely with teachers to monitor and track student progress.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
• A good understanding of child development and learning strategies.
• Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (desirable but not essential).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• A proactive, patient, and flexible approach to supporting children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
