Primary Teaching Assistant – Fixed Term Contract
Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire
Start Date: April 2025
Contract: 1-Year Fixed Term (with the potential for a permanent position)
Salary: Dependent on experience

Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Provide tailored support to pupils, either in small groups or one-to-one settings, to enhance their learning outcomes.
- Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons under the direction of the class teacher.
- Foster a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere, promoting the social and emotional development of all pupils.
- Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and strategies for pupils with additional needs.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
- Participate actively in school events, meetings, and training sessions to further professional growth.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
- Have prior experience in a classroom setting, ideally within the primary education phase.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
- Be adaptable, proactive, and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic school environment.
- Show a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
