Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working exclusively with our client college who require a number of learning support assistants to work on a 1:1 or small group support basis, with pupils who are diagnosed with additional needs. This role is Part time ( 3 to 4 days a week with a September start date. The role will initially be on a timesheets basis with the view to going onto a Permanent contact at the College.
About the department
Specialist support is available for people with diagnosed additional needs, through to less formal support to help students on every level of course. We can assist with everything from understanding assignment briefs to working out percentages!
A Learning support assistants day can be incredibly varied, from support within a Maths class to support in the working farm. You’ll need to motivated, flexible and happy to get your hands dirty!!
Ideal Candidate criteria (But not essential)
- Previous experience working with Teenagers
- Experience with SEN Support
- GCSE Maths & English
- TA Qualification
- A love of animals
