SEN Learning Support Assistant – Primary School in Crawley
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Teaching Personnel are working with an outstanding SEN Primary School in Crawley that is looking for energetic and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position where you'll support teachers in delivering a broad curriculum to pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), mobility challenges, and behavioural needs.
About the Role:
- Location: Crawley, West Sussex
- Position: Full-time SEN Learning Support Assistant
- Salary: £85 - £95 per day, depending on experience
- Contract: Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist class teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a variety of subjects tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with autism, SLD, PMLD, and other additional needs
- Support students with mobility and personal care requirements, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the school day
- Manage and de-escalate behavioural challenges in a positive and proactive manner
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all pupils
- Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress
What We’re Looking For:
- Enthusiastic & Energetic Individuals: Someone who is passionate about working with children with additional needs and can bring positivity and patience to the role
- Experience with SEN: Previous experience working with children who have autism, SLD, PMLD, or behavioural challenges is highly desirable
- Team Player: The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to ensure pupils receive the best possible support
- Strong Communication Skills: The ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Resilience & Patience: Candidates must be adaptable and prepared to work with children who have complex learning and physical needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
