Job description

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and positive individual to support students with additional needs attached to a mainstream secondary school in South Bristol

The selected candidate will work in our dedicated Inclusion Centre as well as in the classroom with individuals or small groups of students as part of a developing and highly motivated Inclusion Team.

We want to hear from you if you have the capacity to relate well to children and adults, an understanding of child development, recent relevant experience working with young people, and strong IT and administration abilities.

This new and interesting position is ideal for those considering a career in teaching, education, social care, or psychology.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Being a supportive tool for vulnerable students within a mainstream setting.
  • Helping students on a 1:1 basis to encourage their emotional / behavioural state within the lesson.
  • Taking groups of pupils out of the classroom, helping with attaining the learning objective of the lesson.
  • To build trusting and positive relationships with students. Not only to make the day more enjoyable, but to help excel in the purpose of the lesson.
  • Working as a team with other staff members from both the school and our agency to create that pleasurable atmosphere!
  • Working with students in KS3 and KS4.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
