Level 3 Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) – Year 1

Location: Blackburn (BB1)
Start Date: February 2025

Contract: Full-time, until at least the end of the academic year

Are you a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s education?

A caring and supportive primary school in Blackburn (BB1) is seeking a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school that values inclusivity and is dedicated to helping every child reach their full potential.

The Role:

-Provide 1:1 support to a child in Year 1, adapting learning activities to meet their needs.
-Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support plans.
-Use strategies to encourage engagement, independence, and confidence in learning.
-Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment within the classroom.
-Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and academic development.

The Ideal Candidate:

✔ Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
✔ Has experience supporting children with additional needs, preferably in EYFS or KS1.
✔ Is patient, compassionate, and adaptable, with a child-centred approach.
✔ Can work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
✔ Is committed to making a difference in a child's learning journey.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
