Learning Support Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit qualified teaching assistants to work in a number of secondary schools within Birmingham and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate with hold either a level 2 or level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have ample experience working within secondary schools in the UK.
About the Role: As a Qualified Teaching Assistant, you will provide invaluable support to teachers and students across KS3 and KS4. Your role will be to help create a positive and effective learning environment in Secondary schools throughout Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide support to individual students and small groups to enhance their learning.
- Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of classroom activities.
- 1:1 support for students will be included.
Requirements:
- Hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent OR hold a relevant degree
- Some experience with children is desirable
- Ability to provide reference details which span over the course of 24 months.
- Hold or be willing to process a Child Enhanced DBS Certificate, which is uploaded to the update service.
- Right to work in the UK.
Ideal Candidate:
- Passionate about supporting children's educational and personal development.
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively with teaching staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
