Job description

Job Title: KS3 English and Maths SEN Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Wickford

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans to address students' specific needs and learning styles
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote student progress and achievement
  • Assess students' progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure effective support for students

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in teaching English and Maths to students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience in teaching English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN practises and principles
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in conducting assessments and creating Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
