Job description

Job Title: KS3 SEN Intervention Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Basildon

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored support and intervention to Key Stage 3 (KS3) students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Create inclusive learning environments
  • Maintain accurate records of student development and achievements

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with KS3 students
  • Experience in developing individual education plans

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN Code of Practise
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time position, expected to work flexible hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
