Job Title: KS3 SEMH Outreach Tutor

Job Duties:

  • Deliver tailored educational support to Key Stage 3 (KS3) students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans to meet the specific needs of each student
  • Provide outreach tutoring sessions in a variety of settings, including homes, libraries, and community centres
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEMH students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Knowledge of the UK curriculum and assessment methods
  • Experience in delivering outreach education programmes

Working Conditions:

This role requires travel to various locations within the East of England region. Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate student schedules.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
