Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Witham

Job Duties:

The English and Maths KS3 Outreach Tutor will be responsible for providing educational support in English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students. Duties include creating and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs. The tutor will also collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure student success.

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant degree in Education or a related field

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Enhanced DBS check

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

Prior experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at the Key Stage 3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum

- Ability to assess student learning styles and adapt teaching methods accordingly

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

Working Conditions:

- Part-time hours

- Temporary position

- Collaborative work environment with teachers and parents

- Potential travel within the East of England for outreach sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
