Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Outreach Tutor

Job Duties:

The English and Maths KS3 Outreach Tutor will be responsible for delivering high-quality tutoring sessions to Key Stage 3 students in both English and Maths subjects. This includes developing tailored lesson plans, assessing student progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs.

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant degree in Education or a related field

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Enhanced DBS check

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

Prior experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at the Key Stage 3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to engage and motivate students

Preferred Qualifications:

- Postgraduate qualification in Education

- Experience working with students with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, focusing on providing outreach tutoring services in English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students in the East of England, specifically in Chelmsford, Essex. The tutor will need to travel to various locations to deliver sessions and may require flexibility in scheduling.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
