Position Overview: Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed and enthusiastic ASC Teaching Assistant to join a small primary school in Huyton, Liverpool. This role is a temporary position running from September 2024 until December 2024, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to children with ASC, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing lesson plans and adapting materials for students with ASC.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and parents.
- Engage with students in both individual and group settings (across KS2) to enhance their learning experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with ASC.
- A patient, compassionate, and understanding approach to supporting children with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
