Key Stage 1 Teacher
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent Position
Location: Reading
Start Date: April 2025

A highly reputable primary school in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 (KS1) teacher to join its permanent staff from April 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring educator to become part of a nurturing and high-achieving school community.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to KS1 pupils, fostering a love for learning and ensuring excellent progress. They will work collaboratively with a supportive team to create a stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and achievement
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil development
  • Participate in school activities and contribute to the wider school community

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in KS1, either as a class teacher or in a substantial placement
  • A thorough understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for teaching and a dedication to continuous professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
