Primary Teaching Assistant – Mixed Reception/Y1 Class (2025)
Location: Outskirts of Chorley
Start Date: 2nd June 2025
Contract: Temporary, with potential for permanent role from September 2025
Are you passionate about shaping young minds in their early years of education? The Headteacher and governors of a reputable Primary School on the outskirts of Chorley are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to support a mixed Reception and Year 1 class starting on 2nd June 2025
This role has become available due to a resignation, offering an exciting opportunity to become a part of a close-knit school community. There is the potential for a permanent contract starting in September 2025, depending on the success of the role.

Duration: Temporary (Two Terms), with the possibility of a permanent position from June 2025

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM to 3:20 PM (term-time only)

Rate of Pay: £13.75 per hour

About the School:
The school boasts a fantastic team, led by a Headteacher who is passionate about life-long learning and development. The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) is highly respected by staff, parents, and students alike. You’ll be working in a small, supportive environment where the class size is fewer than 15 pupils, with another full-time Teaching Assistant providing additional support in the classroom. The school is equipped with excellent facilities that enable children to thrive from Early Years to Key Stage 2.

Passionate about inspiring young minds and motivating pupils, with a desire to grow within a supportive and vibrant teaching environment.

A sense of humour and a willingness to become a valued part of the school community.

Confident in delivering high-quality phonics teaching.

Qualifications: Level 2 (minimum) Childcare, Health & Social Care qualification, or Degree.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
