Job description

Position: Humanities Teacher

Location: Northampton

Are you a Humanities teacher looking for a new full-time role from January 2025

Teaching Personnel are working alongside successful schools in Central Northamptonshire who are hoping to welcome a dynamic Humanities teacher into their teams. We are recruiting for full-time positions to start from January 2024 onwards until the end of the academic year.

  • Full-time position to start in January 2024 until the end of the academic year.
  • Experience teaching either History, Geography, Religious Education or any other Humanities based subject.
  • Teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-level

The successful Humanities Teacher will be expected to:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver Humanities lessons to accommodate the needs of pupils at various levels of learning
  • Assess and evaluate class work, report back to senior teachers and take appropriate action to support pupils in meeting their aims and objectives
  • Work with pupils who may display challenging behaviour
  • Manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies and promote positive behaviour management skills
  • Support with the development of Schemes of Work in line with the National Curriculum for Humanities

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Qualification in History, Geography, Religious studies, or related fields
  • Experience Teaching Secondary students up to A-level standard
  • Confident to plan and deliver high
  • Enhanced child only DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
