Part-Time History Teacher with QTS

Location: England, Greater London, Lambeth

Salary: £165 - £210 Per Day

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time History Teacher, with a valid QTS, to join our team in Lambeth, Greater London. This role is ideal for either an Early Career Teacher or an experienced educator seeking flexibility in their career, as it offers the opportunity to work three days a week.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive history lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback on students' progress
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for history
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students
  • Attend staff meetings and actively participate in professional development sessions

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in History or a related field
  • Experience teaching history at the secondary level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Thorough understanding of the national curriculum for history
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities and backgrounds
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
