Job Title: History Teacher

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging history lessons to students
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets educational standards
  • Assess and evaluate student progress
  • Provide feedback to students and parents
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in History or a related field
  • Experience teaching history at the secondary level
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of historical concepts and events
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and inspire students
  • Organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience using technology in the classroom
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a secondary school setting, following the school calendar and timetable. Classroom-based teaching with some administrative duties. May require participation in extracurricular activities or parent meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
