We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Redcar. The ideal candidate will have a love for history and a drive to make the subject engaging and accessible to all students. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess history lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Encourage students to develop critical thinking and a deeper understanding of historical events.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the history curriculum.
• Participate in school events and extracurricular activities to enrich the student experience.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
• Be a passionate history specialist with strong subject knowledge.
• Be able to inspire and motivate students to develop a love for history.
• Have strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Demonstrate a commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
• Experience teaching GCSE History is desirable but not essential.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
