Are you a passionate and inspiring History Teacher seeking to advance your career at a small secondary school in Northamptonshire? Teaching Personnel, the leading recruitment agency in the education sector, is proud to partner with our client secondary school in Northampton.

We are currently seeking to appoint a History Teacher for a September start. This position will initially be a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent role following successful completion of the contract.

Key Details:

  • Full-time Teacher of History, starting in September.
  • 12-month fixed-term contract with the opportunity for a permanent role thereafter.
  • Teaching History up to Key Stage 4.
  • Salary in line with MPS and UPS

As a History Teacher at our client school, you will be responsible for teaching both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 lessons. Students in Years 7, 8, and 9 have one 60-minute lesson per week and are taught in mixed-ability groups. Students in Years 10 and 11 have three one-hour lessons per week and follow a two-year GCSE course that includes performance, composition, and listening components.

Our partner school is a smaller-than-average secondary school located in Northamptonshire. It is highly regarded in the local community and received an overall 'Good' rating. The students exhibit good behavior, positive attitudes toward learning, and maintain healthy relationships with both peers and adults.
