History Teacher – Academy – Newcastle (NE1)

An Academy in Newcastle (NE1) is seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join their Humanities department on a permanent, full-time basis starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to teach KS3 and KS4 History, with the potential to teach A-Level for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Teaching engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential A-Level teaching.

  • Planning lessons that develop students’ critical thinking, analytical skills, and understanding of historical events.

  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing targeted support where needed.

  • Contributing to curriculum development and innovative teaching practices within the department.

  • Taking part in extracurricular activities such as historical trips, clubs, and school events.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 History (A-Level experience desirable but not essential).

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • Committed to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting whole-school initiatives.
