Bring history to life for your students! A well-regarded secondary school in Manchester is seeking a dedicated and inspiring History Teacher to join their dynamic team. This role offers a unique chance to make a significant impact on students' understanding of the past and its influence on the present.

Your Role:

  • Plan and Deliver Dynamic Lessons: Design and deliver engaging History lessons for students at Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a broad spectrum of historical periods and themes.
  • Encourage Critical Thinking: Help students develop critical thinking skills by analyzing historical events, understanding different perspectives, and drawing connections to contemporary issues.
  • Create an Interactive Classroom Environment: Foster a learning atmosphere that promotes open discussion, debate, and exploration of historical contexts.
  • Use Innovative Teaching Methods: Incorporate multimedia, primary sources, and interactive activities to make history lessons engaging and memorable.
  • Monitor and Support Student Progress: Regularly assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies to support their academic growth.
  • Contribute to the School Community: Participate in extracurricular activities such as history clubs, educational trips, and school events to further engage students in historical learning.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification in History.
  • Passion for History: A deep enthusiasm for history and a strong desire to inspire students.
  • Creative Teaching Approach: Ability to bring historical events to life through innovative teaching techniques.
  • Strong Communication and Motivation Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
