Job description

An exciting opportunity is now available at our client school in Durham! Are you a passionate History teacher looking for a new role in February 2025? We welcome applications from both ECTs and fully qualified teachers.

Position: History Teacher
Pay: To scale – (£162.31 to £251.71 per day)
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: February 2025

Our client secondary school is located in Durham, with convenient access from surrounding areas via the A1/A1(M) or A68. For those who don’t drive, there are excellent public transport links from various parts of the North East.

Requirements:
• QTS or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in History
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A current child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply – we can assist with this)
• Two professional references from recent employment

Job Brief:
• Teach History to KS3 and KS4 students of varying abilities
• Plan, deliver, and mark History lessons tailored to meet the needs of your students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
