Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Job description
We are working with a partner school in Rochdale seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join their progressive team this September. The successful candidate will be required full-time, with a permanent position on offer when finishing placement. The school will support you within this role and provide and additional training to support you in this role.
As a HLTA you will be required to support 1:1, in classes and the department where required. You will receive support from the staff members and headteacher. You will take on additional tasks and greater responsibility which may include covering pre-planned classes and support teachers with lesson preparation.

Responsibilities:
- Promote and support inclusion of pupils, including those with specific needs
- Prepare lessons with teachers, contributing to the planning cycle
- Support pupils in SEMH, and report problems as appropriate
- Use positive behaviour management strategies to engage students in learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
