Head of Maths
Area: Windsor
Start Date: April 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience with TLR

An esteemed and highly reputable Special Educational Needs (SEN) School Group is seeking an exceptional and inspiring Head of Maths to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis at their Windsor campus. This is a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic and forward-thinking Maths department within an outstanding educational setting that prioritizes nurturing and transformative learning experiences for all students.

The Role:

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead and manage the Maths department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement a robust and inclusive Maths curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Inspire and support both staff and students, promoting a culture of excellence and high expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to drive strategic initiatives and enhance student outcomes.
  • Engage positively with parents, carers, and external stakeholders to foster a supportive and inclusive school community.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths, ideally within an SEN setting or with experience of differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in a middle or senior leadership role being highly desirable.
  • An in-depth understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and experience developing inclusive teaching practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for making a meaningful difference in students’ lives.
  • A proactive, innovative, and reflective approach to teaching and leadership.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
