Position: Head of History
Location: Andover
Start Date: January 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPR/UPR + TLR

A dynamic and thriving secondary school in Andover is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head of History to lead their Humanities department. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role and drive the success of the History curriculum while inspiring the next generation of historians.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead the History Department, providing strategic direction, curriculum planning, and subject development.
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and effective lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for history.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering professional growth and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Promote a passion for history through extracurricular activities, trips, and initiatives that enrich students’ learning experiences.
  • Monitor student progress to ensure academic achievement and support individual needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
