Position: Head of History
Location: Andover
Start Date: January 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (Direct School Contract)
Salary: MPR/UPR + TLR

With your talents in our classrooms, we can change lives. We are seeking a dedicated Head of History to lead a thriving department at a supportive secondary school in Andover from January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a school that values both academic success and staff well-being.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead the History Department in curriculum planning, assessment, and innovation.
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4, engaging students with the richness of historical studies.
  • Develop a culture of academic success by supporting student engagement and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver outstanding teaching in every classroom, every day.

The successful candidate will transition directly onto a permanent school contract, offering long-term stability and integration into the school’s dynamic team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
