Graduate Teaching Assistant – Medical Needs Provision

Location: Mitcham, South London 
Start Date: 27th February 2025 
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)

We are currently seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students in a medical needs educational provision for Year 9-11 learners. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic individual looking to gain valuable experience in education.

Your Role:

  • Lead cookery and craft activities for small student groups.
  • Provide classroom support in Sociology and Geography.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Support students with anxieties and additional needs, fostering confidence and independence.
  • Work collaboratively within a dedicated teaching team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A graduate looking to gain experience in education.
  • A self-starter with a proactive and adaptable approach.
  • Strong understanding of youth culture and the challenges young people face.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Right to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
