Graduate Teaching Assistants – Wigan Secondary Schools

We are looking for Graduate Teaching Assistants to work in Wigan-based secondary schools, providing classroom and one-to-one support for students with additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for those considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Recent graduates from any subject background
• Confident and proactive individuals with a passion for education

• Candidates available to start ASAP or from March 2024 onwards

What We Need from You:

• A degree in any subject (education-related subjects are an advantage but not essential)
• A passion for working with young people and supporting those with additional needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team and take initiative in a school setting
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• At least two professional references covering the last two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
