Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are recruiting for a full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant to start in September. This is an OFSTED rated ‘Good’ school who are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of young students.
The role:
- Start-date: 1st September
- Ongoing/long-term
- School is in a great location with excellent transport links across Stoke and Newcastle-Under-Lyme
As Graduate Teaching assistant, you will work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, providing tailored support for students who require additional learning and behavioural support. This may involve 1-1 interventions, group sessions, reading time or just general behaviour support in classrooms. Additionally, you will work closely with the class teacher to create and implement individualised learning plans for SEN students, building your experience with different learning needs.
What we’re looking for:
- A genuine passion and enthusiasm for education
- Experience working with young people is desirable for this role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and staff
- Safeguarding training (must be done upon registering with Teaching Personnel)
- Child-only DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
