Job description

Have you just finished your university studies? Are you thinking of pursuing a career in education? Would you be the right person for a job where you can make a difference to children who need extra support?

On of our Primary schools located just outside of the City Centre and with easy access from the M4 are looking to appoint 2 Teaching assistants to start asap for the full academic year.

*This is a perfect opportunity for any graduates looking to start a primary PGCE in 2025 to gain classroom based experience*

  • 2 x Full time Teaching Assistant position starting Sept/Oct
  • Large Primary school with additional learning needs hub
  •  Attractive pay rates starting for £83+ a day
  • Continuous feedback for personal development

This is a large Primary school where you may be asked to support KS1 & KS2 pupils. The school is easily accessible via a range of public transports links as well as great links by road. The school is a specialist in supporting with Additional learning needs and challenging behaviour. They provide a caring and nurturing approach that ensures the pupils are developing socially and academically. For the successful Teaching Assistant, the school will look to equip you for a career in education by giving you different opportunities to work with a range of ages and abilities.

Teaching Assistant responsibilities:

  • Supporting identified students on a 1:1 basis or in small classrooms/hub provision
  • Building relationships with the pupils to keep them motivated and raise attainment
  • Build a rapport with the pupils and liaise between teaching staff and the pupils

In the past we have found that people from various backgrounds have been well suited to this type of role due to the individual requirements of the pupils; Sports Graduates/Coaches, Psychology Graduates, Education Studies Graduates, Art/Drama Graduates and Core subject graduates have all been successful in these roles previously.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
