Job Title: 1:1 Welsh Speaking Behavioural Support
Location: Cardiff, Wales (CF5)
Hours: Full Time (08:30 – 15:30)
Pay: £90 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September
About the Role:
Behaviour support workers play a crucial role in shaping the lives of young students and find the work extremely rewarding when they see progress in student behaviour after their hard work. Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a 1:1 behaviour support assistant for a role in a school in the CF5 area. The student you will be supporting is a KS2 pupil with challenging behaviour, which can sometimes lead to violent outbursts when dysregulated.
This role is both challenging and extremely rewarding, offering the opportunity to have a real and measurable impact on a young student’s life. We are looking for someone who can provide consistent support and interventions to manage behaviour, focusing on avoiding triggers and fostering an inclusive learning environment for the child.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Proven skills in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- A clear and positive communication style.
- The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, students, and parents.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to working as part of a team, as well as independently.
- The ability to remain calm and professional at all times.
- A commitment to supporting the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies.
Key Attributes:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and special education practices.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment.

You will also have access to courses that will help further develop your experience and teaching skills, contributing to your career in education. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
