Role Summary
As a Future Teacher in our programme, you'll play the role of Cover Supervisor in a secondary school within Bournemouth. You’ll cover classes during short-term teacher absences, guiding students through pre-set tasks, ensuring continuity in their learning, and gaining insight into the day-to-day responsibilities in education. Note that no marking, planning, or active teaching is required.

Start Date: January 2025 or September 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

During Your Placement, You Will:
- Reflect on Your Experiences: Maintain a daily reflective journal to track your development and insights.
- Observe and Engage: Observe lessons both within and outside your subject area to broaden your understanding.
- Learn Key Skills: Build effective classroom management techniques, learning differentiation, pastoral support, and more.
- Collaborate with School Staff: Support school teams to assist in student development and engagement with pastoral initiatives.
- Apply Your Degree: Identify connections between your degree knowledge and school curricula to enhance learning experiences.
- Support Coursework and Exams: Help students prepare for assignments and exams, guiding them toward success.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
