Job Advert: Salaried Teacher Training Programme – Bournemouth
Are you passionate about education and looking to begin a rewarding career in teaching? We are offering an exciting Salaried Teacher Training Programme based in Bournemouth, designed to provide practical classroom experience while working towards your teaching qualification.
About the Programme:
This two-year programme allows you to gain invaluable experience as a Cover Supervisor for the first year, giving you a real insight into life as a teacher while supporting students and teachers in various subject areas. After your initial year, you will move on to complete a fully funded PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education), all while staying at the same school throughout the entire programme.
What We Offer:
- Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 per year
- A full-time, salaried position as a Cover Supervisor in your first year

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting teachers by covering classes when they are absent
- Managing the classroom and ensuring students stay on task
- Assisting with lesson delivery and helping students with their learning
- Gaining hands-on teaching experience and developing classroom management skills
- Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
Requirements:
- A passion for education and working with young people
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (any subject)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to completing a two-year programme
- Enthusiasm, adaptability, and a desire to learn
Location:
This position is based at a Bournemouth school, where you will work for the full two years of the programme.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
