The Opportunity:

  • Position: Learning Support Assistant
  • Pay: £85 - £95 per day
  • Contract: Full-Time
  • Start Date: February 2025

This role is perfect for graduates considering a career in teaching, psychology, or special educational needs. You'll gain first-hand experience supporting students, developing key skills in communication, behaviour management, and tailored learning support.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Work closely with KS3 and KS4 students, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them thrive in an engaging learning environment.
  • Assist with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring each student receives the individualised support they need to succeed.
  • Get involved in extracurricular activities that enhance student development and boost your own experience in an educational setting.
  • This role provides the perfect foundation for a PGCE, Educational Psychology, or further study in child development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong behaviour management skills in both 1:1 and group settings.
  • A child-only DBS on the update service (or a willingness to apply – we’ll guide you through it).
  • Two professional references from recent employment or relevant experience.
  • While experience in SEN or additional learning needs is beneficial, it’s not essential – passion and dedication matter most!
