Graduate Cover Supervisors needed in Gosport!

Key responsibilities:

  • Classroom Supervision: Oversee students in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that they remain on task with pre-set work.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement the school’s behaviour policy to maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
  • Deliver Pre-Planned Lessons: Present and manage the delivery of pre-planned classwork across a variety of subjects and year groups.
  • Support Student Learning: Assist students in understanding the work provided, offering guidance and answering questions where necessary.
  • Monitor Progress: Ensure that students complete their work and remain engaged during the lesson, keeping track of progress where needed.
  • Liaison with Staff: Communicate with other staff members regarding any issues, incidents, or notable achievements during the lesson.
  • Administrative Duties: Complete tasks such as taking attendance, reporting incidents, and providing feedback to the relevant teaching staff.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and ready to cover different subjects and classes, adjusting to the school’s needs as required.

 

Requirements:

  • A recent graduate (in any subject) with a genuine interest in education.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, ready to take on new challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
